This is a colored pencil portrait I just finished of my daughter. I did a bunch of loops first and then put the portrait underneath them.

This is very cool! It must have been hard to draw "underneath" the loops.
I just crawled under them and started sketching:) It's nice to have art to escape into. I checked out your blog and that baby being held is really great. You are a really, really good portrait artist. My next drawing is another portrait. And, of my daughter. I'm trying to teach students how to layer and overlap colored pencil and it's making me try some stuff I've been shying away from.
